Also, it is very light weight which means it does not put that much stress on the underlying materials like the ceiling and the walls that hold the roof in place. Just to give you an idea, it weighs three parts to one of asphalt or fiberglass and is seventy five percent lighter than clay, slat or concrete.
If you want to do your share in protecting the environment, you will be happy to know that corrugated metal roofing is recyclable. Once throw away, this can be melted and a new sheet can be used to roof another home.
Corrugated metal roofing is also made up fire resistant materials which is why this is installed in buildings that are near flammable materials. It is also lightning resistant.
Aside from rain, corrugated metal roofing is highly wind resistant and can even fight hurricane winds. Because corrugated metal roofing has the ability to contract and relax with heat, it can greatly reduce your air conditioning expenditures as it partially reflects and not absorbs sunlight.
